The Norski Defender 2024

The Norski

This is a unique tool, as you can see from the picture. Master Peter Brusso wrote a book called The Norski Saga, which is based on a real friend of Master Brusso, Eric Iverson. In this book, Norski works for the Defense Intelligence Agency and gets involved with the Ninjas to stop China’s invasion of Taiwan. Well, as you can imagine, Norski needed his own form of Defender, and since he is a Viking, it had to include some of those features.

Dr. Q, another one of our book characters, went to work on what a modern Viking tool might look like, and so here we are.

What is very different is that it encompasses a double, chisel-edge sharp hand ax look, sharp points both top and bottom, plus the finger retention capability became a snake-looking curved handle that is super great for tool retention during combat.

It also has the digit capture hole, which doubles as a place that ‘Clicks’ into one of our Kydex holsters. We have also added lanyard holes for ease of carry.

The bottom and top of each ax head are sharp areas that are great for maneuvering an attacker around or taking them down by pushing these points into the neck, behind the collarbone, or just placing them against their body and pushing them away.

When you deploy something like this, I have to admit there is a considerable shock value in how it looks. No one has ever seen anything remotely like the Norski. I, Master Peter Brusso, even saw people back up when I pulled it out to show them! These people have seen defenders before, but the visual shock value was, well, needless to say, priceless.

Pulling this out and saying something like, “Oh, this is going to be fun,” might paint just the picture you need to scare attackers off.

The sharp points at the top and bottom can be used to smash into an attacker’s body, head, or grabbing hand. The point at the bottom is made from two sides of the handle cut into a chisel knife edge. Not only can you use this to cut your opponent, but you can stab at them, too. Great for counter grab holds as you smash this knife feature into the back of their hands and arms or use it to push them away from you.

The chisel-edge ax heads are great for counter punches, kicks, or grabs, and once they try to hit or kick you, that is the last time they will even try.

Key Features:

  1. Double chisel-edge “hand ax” design for powerful strikes
  2. Sharp points at top and bottom for versatile defensive options
  3. Snake-like curved handle for superior grip and retention during combat
  4. Digit capture hole for attacker control and Kydex holster compatibility
  5. Lanyard holes for easy everyday carry
  6. Intimidating visual design for potential deterrence
  7. Multifunctional ax heads for countering various types of attacks
  8. Precision points for maneuvering attackers or creating distance
  9. Inspired by Viking weaponry, modernized for contemporary self-defense
  10. Engineered for both practical defense and psychological deterrence
  11. Double chisel knife edge at the bottom of the handle for strategic stabbing, and anti-grab defense

As it has already been pointed out, this is one scary-looking self-defense tool. Japan’s greatest swordsman wrote in his famous book, The Book of Five Rings, that you must always paint the picture you want your opponent to see. Well, an old Chinese proverb says that a picture is worth a thousand words. I think I have said enough on this point.

This self-defense tool is extremely powerful and should only be used responsibly in genuine self-defense situations. Users must be familiar with and comply with all local, state, and federal laws concerning the use of a self-defense tool.

Additionally, it’s essential to review the TSA’s list of prohibited items on flights or similar regulations. Make sure also to understand the laws regarding the carrying of self-defense tools in any location where you intend to have them.

My tools, like those from Master Peter Brusso, are intended for ethical and legal use only, and this principle applies to all of my Defender products.
